Ice Fishing
Ice fishing starts on Matagamon, January 1st and ends March 31st. Expect to catch Brook Trout, Landlock Salmon, Lake Trout (Togue), Cusk, Yellow Perch, Whitefish and smelt.
We have heated ice shacks for rent.
Starting
this year, for people staying at our camps during ice fishing, we are having a
fishing derby. The largest Brook Trout taken will get a fish carving from Matagamon

fishing derby, with a 17 1/2 inch 1.9 lb brook trout. He will get a wood carving of that fish. |
Free fishing days for 2007 will take place on February 17th & 18th
We sell fishing licenses at the store or you can get them online by visiting the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife website.
